BE/BC OB/Gyn needed in northeastern Vermont. This Womans Group consists of 2 Ob/Gyn,2 midwives and 2 nurse practitioners working together in an office which consists of renovated hospital rooms on the third floor of the hospital. The other half of the third floor is the Ob unit,therefore it is very convenient to see patients in the office and manage labor patients as well. All practitioners are hospital employees and work well together. All practitioners meet every week to review problem patients and discuss joint management. The office practice covers all aspects of a general practice. Inoffice ultrasound,colposcopy,LEEP conizations and endometrial biopsies are routinely done. The community hospital is a 25 bed hospital with a service area population of 25,000 and approximately 250 deliveries per year. The medical staff includes: 4 general surgeons,2 ophthalmologists,2 orthopedists,4 internists,10 family doctors,4 pediatricians,2 obstetricians. There is full time ER coverage by doctors and full radiology coverage as well. There are 3 ORs with 4 anesthesia providers. Abdominal vaginal hysterectomies along with LAVH are standard procedures. The equipment is up to date and the OR staff is well trained. Thermochoice endometrial ablations are also done on a regular basis.
